The current solid line on the arrow body makes it hard to differentiate between components and links. I use notes and draw arrows from the note to the specific component the note refers to. The heavy lines crossing through components are a bit overkill. Even using a very light color it's still more visually distracting than it needs to be.

Seems like a choice of solid, dotted or dashed arrows would be great.

BTW I got an "awesome work" comment from the boss yesterday and some of that is attributable to the functional .pdf I presented. Kudos to WireframeSketcher again.

I'd recommend you grab the trial version of Enterprise Architect and try out their 'smart link'
