Selection color on dark backgrounds

Hi Peter,

I am trying to emulate dark horizontal menu, as shown on image.

What works best for me is using a table, where I can define background (bg). The only problem I encounter is that "selection" is not visible on dark backgrounds, as it simply "highlights" the selected item using light gray color.

Is there any workaround, please?

I am not sure I understand your problem entirely. Here's what the Tree/Table selection looks like:

I've also added a second selection by overlaying a semi-transparent Panel/Rectangle without borders that imitates better your example. Perhaps this is what you are looking for.
