When I type $ or %, a window pops up and when I try to get out of it, my computer locks up and I have to close Wireframesketcher.
Is there a way to disable that so I can just type $ or % without anything happening?

There is no such option right now. Can you email me your log file so that I can try and identify the lock up issue? You can do it using Help > Report a Bug. Thanks!
