Remove highlight from tabs and button bar

Is there a way to remove or change the default highlighted tab or button on the button bar? Right now it seems the first one is always highlighted, but it would be helpful to highlight others.

Hi Chad,

Take a look at the "Selection" property in Properties View. It lets you change the selected item or remove the selection completely.
